This is traditional casino blackjack, the object being to obtain a hand with the highest possible value without exceeding 21.  Aces count as one (1) or eleven (11), face cards (Jack, Queen, King) count as ten, other cards count as the designated value on the card.  This free online blackjack game is not only fun, but a great way to practice your card counting skills.

Playing the Free Blackjack Game

To play casino blackjack, first place your bet.  Click the 'Deal' button and the dealer will give you two cards and himself one card.  If you get blackjack, two cards consisting of an Ace and a card of value of ten, you automatically win the game and get 2.5 times your original bet (unless the dealer also gets blackjack which is a push).

If you do not have blackjack, you must decide whether to Hit (draw another card) or Stand (stay).  Draw cards to get as close to 21 as you can without going over.  Once your hand value exceeds 21, you have 'busted' and you lose the hand.  Click the 'Stand' (Stay) button when you are done drawing cards.

The dealer now draws his cards.  The dealer will continue to draw cards as long as his hand value is under 17.  If the dealer goes over 21, then he "busts" and loses the hand.

Assuming neither you or the dealer goes bust, then the hand with the highest point value (less than 21) wins.  If you win, you get double your wager back.  If the dealer wins, he keeps your bet.
