World Poker Tour Tournaments

The World Poker Tour is prime time tournament poker.  The Tour consists of thirteen tournaments at various land based casinos and online poker rooms, leading to the final event - the World Poker Tour Championship.

The World Poker Tour tournaments are held throughout the year, beginning in July, with the final event taking place at Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas the following April.  WPT poker tournament buy-ins are typically $10,000.  Participating World Poker Tour tournament sponsors include the Bellagio (Las Vegas, NV), The Bicycle Casino (Bell Gardens, CA), Ultimate Bet (Aruba), Casinos Europa Card Club (San Jose, Costa Rica), Lucky Chances Casino (Colma, CA), Foxwoods Resort Casino (Mashantucket, CT), Horseshoe Casino / Gold Strike Casino (Tunica, MS), Aviation Club de France (Paris, France), Commerce Casino (Commerce, CA), Mirage Casino (Las Vegas, NV), Reno Hilton (Reno, NV).

The final table at each poker tournament is filmed in front of a live audience and televised on the Travel Channel.  In addition to the prize pools, the winner of each tournament receives a $25,000 buy-in to the final World Poker Tour Championship at Bellagio. 

To enter a World Poker Tour tournament...

• Contact the participating land based casino, or

• Play in a satellite tournament at an online poker room to get a free entry, with travel expenses, to the Word Poker Tour Championship at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
